What you will do
- Apply engineering principles to develop efficient and economical solutions for multidisciplinary design problems.
- Design track and railway infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
- Produce track designs, grading models, DTM surfaces, drainage layouts, and related details.
- Work with LiDAR point clouds, surveys, and geographic data to support design activities.
- Prepare detailed designs and drawings from notes and specifications.
- Coordinate with technicians, engineers, senior engineers, and designers on infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Recent or soon-to-be graduate with little or no professional experience and relevant skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering is preferred.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Knowledge of engineering and business fundamentals, strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite, including at remote locations.
- will not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
Nice to have
- Experience with civil infrastructure design, DTM surfaces, alignment, grading and drainage design, or construction.
- Experience in a rail-sector engineering consultancy or railroad.
- Knowledge of railway industry standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Navisworks, or ArcGIS.
- Previous co-op or internship experience.
