Roadway CAD Technician (Civil 3D)

What you will do

• Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility plans, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Prepare and revise roadway plans, profiles, cross-sections, corridor models, and construction documents.
• Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Produce plan sets, quantity calculations, exhibits, technical reports, erosion control plans, and signing and pavement marking layouts.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, survey, drainage, utility, and transportation teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Perform quality control reviews to verify drafting accuracy, consistency, and compliance with design standards.

Requirements

• Relevant training in CAD, drafting, or design technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with transportation engineering; TxDOT experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or comparable platforms such as MicroStation or OpenRoads.
• Experience with plan production, drafting standards, and collaboration tools for municipal or transportation projects.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas.
