Application Engineering Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: On-site at least four days per week at hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. Travel may include up to 15% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $188,251–$230,084, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global team of Application Engineers supporting aerospace and defense accounts and growth initiatives.
• Translate customer needs, market insights, and emerging trends into differentiated hirify.global solutions.
• Build technical relationships across customer organizations and support technical product specification.
• Manage prioritized projects and initiatives that accelerate customer value and improve internal operations.
• Collaborate with Vertical, Platform, TEGL, and CRL teams on technology, product, and capability development.
• Mentor Application Engineers while driving customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and business results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• At least five years of experience in product development, new product commercialization, application engineering, or management of teams in these areas.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical product performance criteria in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aerospace industry materials, technologies, processes, and specifications.
• Technical management experience, preferably leading a team of application engineers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Ten years of relevant experience or team management experience.
• Experience navigating complex problems and identifying innovative solutions.
• Project management experience.
