Internal Logistics Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design and implement internal logistics equipment and automated material handling solutions for new model and mass production activities.
• Partner with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas and Toyota Motor North America Production Engineering on logistics-related change points.
• Develop decision matrices and support project cost planning and budgeting.
• Create and obtain approval for Ringi projects, including assembly lines and parts delivery systems.
• Use Toyota Production System tools to develop standardized work and support built-in quality.
• Identify opportunities to simplify equipment designs and lead Kaizen continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
• At least 1 year of experience with internal logistics equipment and process design.
• At least 1 year of experience managing engineering projects and project budgets.
• At least 1 year of knowledge of PLC logic, controls, and programming.
• At least 1 year of knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future visa or work authorization sponsorship; driving is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of internal and external logistics and end-to-end supply chain processes.
