Engineer, Assembly Maintenance (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, United States; rotating shifts, work outside typical business hours, and domestic and international travel may be required

Salary: $120,031.64–$153,650.65 annual base salary, plus a yearly discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Plan, install, and launch new-model assembly processes and production equipment.
• Coordinate vendor buyoffs and validate safety, quality, cycle time, ergonomic, and functional requirements.
• Support equipment debugging, troubleshooting, process stabilization, and production readiness during launch phases.
• Develop root-cause countermeasures and continuous improvements for equipment, process, and production issues.
• Support PLC troubleshooting, robot integration, torque systems, vision systems, poka-yoke devices, conveyors, and automated material handling equipment.
• Manage engineering changes, technical documentation, spare-parts databases, SAP parts records, CAD models, tooling installation, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD or design software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, part drawings, manuals, and instructions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, outside typical business hours, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Nice to have

• Three years of project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, industrial technology, or another technical field.
• Experience coordinating vendors and schedules.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, assembly production engineering, launch engineering, or SEIBI roles.
• Experience with equipment startup, conveyor systems, robotics, fastening systems, assembly tooling, and automated manufacturing troubleshooting.
