Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.

Salary: $169,067–$216,031 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

Company

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain high-reliability ground segment services for telemetry ingestion, scaling, distribution, and commanding.
  • Build operator-grade mission control interfaces and dashboards for integration, testing, and on-orbit operations.
  • Create flight-software simulations, device emulators, and scenario-based automated testing tools.
  • Design and productionize mission-platform tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, infrastructure-as-code, test harnesses, and observability.
  • Develop deployment patterns for lab benches, test stands, and mission networks, including safe rollbacks and limited-connectivity environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
  • 5+ years of experience developing spacecraft or comparable safety-critical software.
  • Strong Python expertise and systems fundamentals in concurrency, networking, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience with real-time data acquisition, low-latency messaging, time-series and relational databases, CI/CD, dependency and build systems, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with logging, metrics, tracing, Docker, Kubernetes, release management, phased rollouts, and controlled networks.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in C++, Ansible, and/or NiceGUI.
  • Experience with DAQ, closed-loop control, flight-software integration, simulation, and testing tools.
  • Experience with safety-critical requirements, testing, certification artifacts, ground-systems standards, or mission-network security.
  • Experience building mission-grade UIs with structured command workflows, alarming, and situational awareness.

Culture & Benefits

  • Regular full-time employment with flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and employer-matched HSA options.
  • 12 weeks of parental leave, family-building benefits, and sponsored One Medical memberships.
  • 401(k) plan with a 6% immediately vested employer match and equity incentives.
  • Relocation support may be available for new hires, along with daily lunch, twice-weekly dinner, team events, and complimentary EV charging.
