Senior Software Engineer, Business Systems

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global headquarters in San Mateo, California, United States

Annual OTE: $180,000–$260,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and implement technical solutions supporting internal business operations.
• Build improvements to systems that enable global transactions and shipping.
• Improve system observability, reliability, and data correctness.
• Use customer empathy to identify and propose system improvements.
• Lead projects from ideation through release.
• Help and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on distributed systems at scale.
• Experience shipping customer-facing products or internal tools.
• In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
• Experience with AWS foundational services and technologies including Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
• Passion for observability and reliability, with flexibility in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Mateo, California headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or eCommerce platforms.
