Senior Manager, External Reporting (AI & Automation)

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office work is required.

Annual base salary: $163,000–$246,000 USD, with possible incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statement support, XBRL tagging, and related disclosures.
• Oversee tie-outs and accuracy reviews for financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, cash flows, stockholders’ equity, EPS, and non-GAAP disclosures.
• Coordinate reporting deliverables across Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors.
• Review technical accounting matters, journal entries, and analyses related to ASC 718 stock-based compensation and ASC 340-40 contract acquisition costs.
• Maintain and enhance SOX internal controls and disclosure controls over external reporting.
• Implement automation and AI-enabled solutions using tools such as Workiva and ERP systems to improve validation, variance analysis, disclosure drafting, and reporting timelines.

Requirements

• Extensive expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC public company reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 718, ASC 340-40, technical accounting evaluations, and journal entries.
• Experience reviewing cash flow statements, stockholders’ equity, EPS, and supporting schedules.
• Experience managing complex reporting deliverables and SOX/DC&P frameworks.
• Advanced skills in workflow automation, process improvement, and AI-enabled financial reporting tools.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, mentoring, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workiva, NetSuite, SAP, or E*Trade.
• Experience supporting earnings releases and working directly with external auditors.
