Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting - Internally Developed Software

Location: Remote, Florida, United States

Salary: USD 140,000–165,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Oversee accounting for internally developed software, including capitalization assessments, cost tracking, and useful-life evaluations.
• Manage fixed-asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, tracking, disposals, thresholds, and subledger integrity.
• Oversee operating and finance lease accounting, including right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, remeasurements, modifications, and embedded leases.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, flux analyses, and financial statement disclosures.
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, support external audits, and improve accounting processes through automation and system enhancements.
• Manage and mentor a team of hub accountants while partnering with Engineering, Product, IT, Legal, Procurement, Facilities, and Finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and Certified Public Accountant designation.
• 7–10 years of progressive relevant experience in public accounting, preferably Big Four, or in a medium-to-large international organization.
• Required experience with internally developed software projects, including capitalization assessments, cost tracking, and useful-life evaluations.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 350-40, ASC 360, and ASC 842, with experience in SOX-compliant controls for multinational companies.
• Experience with ERP and consolidation systems, lease accounting tools, Microsoft Office, and intermediate-to-advanced Excel.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, cross-functional collaboration, and people-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or OneStream.
• Familiarity with Costar or Nakisa lease accounting tools.
