Senior Accountant (SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting)

Location: Hybrid position based in Carlsbad, California, with regular onsite work required

Salary: $90,000–$119,180 per year

What you will do

• Support quarterly and year-end financial reporting, including earnings releases, Forms 10-Q and 10-K, tie-outs, and XBRL review.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements covering investments, leases, debt, equity, and cash flows.
• Prepare audit deliverables and support internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities.
• Research and interpret current, new, and pending technical accounting guidance.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda and accounting policies for transactions and newly adopted accounting principles.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification or CPA certification in progress.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience, including at least two years at a public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research and interpret accounting guidance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong analytical and communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Carlsbad, California, with regular onsite attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience at a Big Four public accounting firm.
• Experience with Broadridge or other SEC filing software, SAP or another ERP system, BlackLine, Equity Edge Online, Clearwater, or OneStream.
