Area Business Manager (Vaccines)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role covers Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati metro areas and requires field travel, overnight travel, and attendance at area and national meetings. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Annual base salary: $139,000–$280,400, plus a sales incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Hire, coach, develop, and manage 9–12 representatives across the vaccines portfolio.
• Set team goals, manage performance, and provide live, virtual, and hybrid coaching in the field.
• Develop and execute area business plans, manage budgets, and optimize resource deployment.
• Build relationships with key customers, healthcare organizations, retail accounts, and high-influence stakeholders.
• Lead science-forward customer conversations and coach representatives on consultative account-based portfolio selling.
• Ensure compliant execution and use sales data and digital tools to adapt strategy and improve performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing and sales experience, including 3–5 years in a demonstrated leadership role.
• Leadership experience involving coaching, collaboration, performance management, and business impact.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company standards; any DUI/DWI or impaired-driving citation within the past 7 years is disqualifying.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization and authorization to work for any U.S. employer.
• Ability to travel across all representative territories, including overnight travel as needed.

• MBA or relevant graduate degree.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Vaccines experience and expertise.
• Experience with key thought leaders, large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, strategic planning, and virtual communication skills.
