CMM Programmer (Aerospace)

Salary: $32.00–$42.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare electronic code and detailed inspection instructions for numerical-controlled inspection equipment.
• Develop CMM programs at the CMM and offline at computer-aided inspection stations.
• Ensure compatibility between engineering drawings, design data, fabrication methods, and CMM capabilities.
• Resolve compatibility issues between CAI systems and CAD-generated design data.
• Train machinists, quality auditors, and technicians in CMM operation.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams with measurement-system and manufacturing problem-solving.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of manufacturing inspection experience.
• At least 3 years of CMM inspection and programming experience.
• Above-average knowledge of GD&T and geometric and traditional tolerancing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and measurement processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, NY.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zeiss Calypso and PolyWorks.
• Experience creating solid models using CAD systems.
