Strategic Space Planning Engineer

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site role at the Berlin manufacturing campus.

What you will do

• Own and further develop the long-term space planning process across manufacturing, research, and development areas.
• Coordinate annual planning cycles and translate future business requirements into an integrated space development plan.
• Analyze, model, validate, and interpret complex datasets to support planning decisions.
• Conduct scenario analyses and feasibility assessments for future space requirements and development options.
• Develop, challenge, and optimize space and layout concepts for long-term campus objectives.
• Prepare decision materials and recommendations for senior stakeholders while continuously improving planning approaches.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, factory planning, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Several years of experience developing space concepts and space requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, scenario modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience analyzing large datasets, assessing data quality, and translating findings into planning recommendations.
• Understanding of industrial facilities, technical infrastructure, and the spatial requirements of technical equipment and organizational functions.
• Professional proficiency in German and English is required. Experience with planning, visualization, and CAD-based tools is also required.
