Internship (d/f/m) Development of a Manufacturing Concept for Automated Composite Production (Aerospace)

Location: Stade, Germany; onsite at research and development facilities

Company

CTC GmbH, a wholly owned Airbus Operations subsidiary, develops series technologies for the design, production, and assembly of large and complex CFRP aircraft components.

What you will do

• Develop processes for automated fibre placement and ultrasonic cutting for a specific component design.
• Prepare, execute, process, and present experimental test results.
• Design components and create automation programs using offline programming methods.
• Formulate design rules and methodologies for composite manufacturing.
• Exchange technical knowledge with colleagues through workshops and technology sessions.
• Analyze and adapt technologies used in fibre composite development for aerospace applications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in mechanical, lightweight, composites, aerospace engineering, software engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Initial practical experience in composite manufacturing and robotics.
• Initial experience with programming and CAE.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work.
• Strong motivation, teamwork, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Fluent English required; German is desirable.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Previous experience in composite manufacturing, robotics, programming, or CAE.
