Engineering Configuration & Change Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

hirify.global is a fast-growing aerospace startup that manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-focused hardware.

What you will do

• Establish change management policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Own product BOM structures, configuration baselines, and engineering change processes.
• Lead Change Control Board meetings and perform impact and risk assessments.
• Coordinate ECO implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and test.
• Conduct configuration audits to maintain hardware, software, and documentation alignment across production units.
• Analyze change-related incidents, drive corrective actions, and identify workflow automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in configuration management, change management, or engineering operations.
• Hands-on experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, or equivalent.
• Experience managing ECR/ECO processes through full release and production cycles.
• Ability to lead cross-functional boards and drive accountability across teams.
• Experience with aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, or other mission-critical environments, plus strong technical documentation, risk assessment, and impact analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or configuration management certification.
• Experience with aerospace standards including AS9100, ARP4754, or DO-160/178.
• Background in satellite systems, avionics, propulsion, or ground infrastructure.
• Experience with contract manufacturers, large-scale BOM execution, Python, or SQL-based reporting automation.
