Billings & Revenue Analyst (Rail Transportation)

Recruitment placement for a rail transportation business with a growing finance function.

What you will do

• Set up and maintain customer accounts, complete compliance checks, and manage multi-currency billing schedules.
• Generate invoices, credit notes, ad hoc usage-based charges, and support monthly billing approvals.
• Monitor cash collections, record payments, administer direct debits, and prepare ageing reports with commentary.
• Perform revenue-related balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, including accruals and provisions.
• Prepare revenue reports, variance and trend analysis, operational metric commentary, and revenue adjustment calculations.
• Support audits, maintain documentation, and report on asset utilisation and contractual changes.

Requirements

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue-focused roles.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise deadlines, take ownership, work independently, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and identify process improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Exposure to complex billing environments or asset-based industries.
