Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations. The role operates within the European Union to meet customer data security and privacy requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance a customer-oriented cloud platform.
• Solve complex operational problems in a hyperscaler-style cloud backend.
• Work directly with hardware and console-based infrastructure.
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance solutions.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using common automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with specialists in an open and trusting agile team.

Requirements

• Completed technical, engineering, or scientific studies, or comparable professional training.
• 5–7 years of IT experience securing Linux operating systems, with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software-defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, WAF, and physical networks.
• Extensive infrastructure automation experience and strong knowledge of Linux, network services, and IT security.
• Customer-focused approach, knowledge of agile development processes, and the ability to evaluate technical solutions and develop creative approaches.
• Fluent written and spoken English; remote work is limited to Hungary.

Nice to have

• OpenStack experience.
• Programming experience in open-source projects.
