Manager Cybersecurity Presales (DACH)

Location: DACH Region; hybrid work with an average of two days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Lead the cybersecurity presales function and own its contribution to regional business results and KPIs.
• Build, manage, coach, and develop a team of presales architects across the DACH region.
• Partner with sales teams on strategy, account planning, pipeline assessment, resource allocation, and business cases.
• Build cybersecurity expertise through technical enablement, certifications, reusable architectures, and field mentoring.
• Ensure consistent security messaging across networking, SASE, SSE, data-center security, identity, and cloud-security opportunities.
• Lead strategic customer opportunities, workshops, executive briefings, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical escalations.

Requirements

• University or Bachelor's degree and typically 10–12+ years of experience in technical sales or related functions.
• Experience in people management, team coaching, performance management, and customer or partner relationship development.
• Strong technical and business understanding of enterprise security architectures, including SASE, SSE, zero trust, secure SD-WAN, network access control, and hybrid-mesh firewalls.
• Knowledge of network, security, identity, security operations, and compliance technologies and frameworks, including NGFW, VPN/ZTNA, IAM, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and DORA.
• Ability to lead security discovery, threat and risk discussions, architecture design, competitive positioning, technical validation, and complex proofs of concept.
• Business proficiency in German and English is required.
