Data Business Analyst (Data & Analytics)

What you will do

• Collaborate with business subject matter experts, product managers, UX professionals, and data engineers to identify needs and manage data-analysis activities.
• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements in product and release backlogs.
• Break down epics into features and user stories, define acceptance criteria, and participate in Agile ceremonies and PI Planning.
• Support product roadmaps, user journeys, product demonstrations, and continuous improvement of data products.
• Analyze data structures, pipelines, and flows; investigate data-quality and performance issues for resolution by data engineering teams.
• Execute and monitor ETL jobs and maintain accurate product, process, configuration, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with eight years of data analytics experience, Associate’s Degree with six years, Bachelor’s Degree with two years, or Master’s Degree.
• Experience translating business or product needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience working with data and analytics concepts, systems, or products.
• English proficiency is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.

Nice to have

• Agile or Scrum experience, including writing Jira user stories and acceptance criteria using the INVEST framework.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS, Airflow, ETL, data pipelines, data governance, and data-quality principles.
• Hands-on experience with Python or SQL for data analysis, validation, or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, large language models, generative AI, or agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience with low-code or no-code test automation tools.
