Test Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: On-site in Huntsville, Alabama, United States; remote work is not supported

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for user interfaces, APIs, microservices, and data workflows.
• Integrate functional, regression, integration, and smoke tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate data migrations, system integrations, and application functionality across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Identify, document, and coordinate defect resolution with development and technical teams.
• Support release and deployment readiness through automated validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with development, cloud, migration, QA, product, and DevSecOps teams during Agile planning and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or test engineering.
• Extensive experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, Postman, or similar.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, with strong knowledge of API testing, microservice validation, and regression coverage.
• Experience validating large-scale data migration outputs and troubleshooting data-related defects.
• Active Top Secret clearance, eligibility for SCI access, and ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at the customer location in Huntsville, Alabama.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting national security programs.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications or data workflows, preferably with AWS.
• Familiarity with JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
