Senior Manager, Infrastructure Asset Accounting

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid attendance at one of the offices at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $190,000–$230,000 USD

What you will do

• Own end-to-end accounting for infrastructure assets, including components, prepayments, construction-in-progress, deployment, fixed assets, and disposals.
• Build and maintain transaction flows covering purchasing, shipment, warehousing, integration, deployment, and in-service stages.
• Evaluate non-standard supplier and procurement arrangements and prepare technical accounting memos.
• Apply ASC 360 and cost accounting principles to capitalization, useful lives, impairment, BOM costing, landed costs, obsolescence, and reserves.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Legal, Finance, and external auditors on accounting and reporting matters.
• Scale systems, controls, data pipelines, component tracking, and automation, including AI tooling, while mentoring accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant equivalent background.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 360 and experience with infrastructure, data center, compute, or other significant fixed asset portfolios.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience covering BOM-based costing, landed cost, standard versus actual cost, and obsolescence or NRV analysis.
• Experience designing transaction flows, process maps, or subledger structures across asset and cost lifecycle stages.
• Strong analytical, communication, influencing, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work from a San Francisco or New York office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in technology, hardware, manufacturing, infrastructure, or related companies.
• Experience with hyperscalers, semiconductor companies, hardware manufacturers, data center operators, or complex BOM-based assemblies.
• Familiarity with ASC 330, ASC 842, ASC 460, and fixed asset or inventory systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• SQL proficiency and experience with AI/ML infrastructure, data center buildouts, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Big Four accounting or advisory experience and experience applying AI tooling to accounting processes.
