Houston Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant (AI)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid work combining in-person work in local hirify.global offices and client sites with remote work; local or out-of-state travel may be required. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $90,000–$134,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $99,000–$147,400.

What you will do

• Lead and facilitate technology audit and advisory project work plans under manager direction.
• Assess technology risks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and control effectiveness.
• Prepare project scopes, work plans, staffing plans, deliverables, audit reports, process flows, and control summaries.
• Apply analytics, automation, AI, and other technology enablement tools to audit and risk assessment work.
• Mentor, train, coach, and supervise interns and consultants, including reviewing their work.
• Build client relationships and communicate technology topics, audit issues, and recommendations to client personnel and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or a related field.
• Experience with IT audit methodologies, audit deliverables, internal control frameworks, and Sarbanes-Oxley technology requirements.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio and Access are also relevant.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Houston environment, including local or out-of-state client-site travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, or technology resilience.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or RPA solutions.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar.
