Environmental Engineer Waste, Water, SPCC Specialist (Energy)

Location: Hybrid role based in Houston, Texas, or Doraville, Georgia, United States. Approximately 30% overnight travel is required.

What you will do

• Serve as Engineer of Record for SPCC Plans under 40 CFR Part 112.
• Develop, certify, review, implement, and update SPCC Plans for applicable facilities.
• Support waste, water, SPCC, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide environmental support for capital projects, pipeline, terminal, storage, and midstream operations.
• Support spill response, remediation projects, inspections, regulatory interactions, and environmental due diligence.
• Manage environmental consultants and technical studies while leading environmental risk management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• At least 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, compliance audits, permitting, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, due diligence, and project management.
• Demonstrated experience preparing, certifying, updating, and serving as Engineer of Record for SPCC Plans.
• Energy-sector experience required, including pipeline, terminal, storage, midstream, or oil and gas operations.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently.

• Ability to obtain additional state registrations as needed.
