HR Generalist (Manufacturing)

Location: New London, North Carolina, United States; onsite

Salary: $55,000–$88,000 USD per year, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Partner with associates, supervisors, EHS, and Operations across multiple departments and shifts to resolve concerns and strengthen workplace culture.
• Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, employee development, corrective actions, accountability, and conflict resolution.
• Investigate employee concerns, policy violations, complaints, and workplace conflicts while supporting consistent labor-law compliance.
• Support FMLA, ADA, and other leave-of-absence cases with the Leaves & Accommodations team.
• Execute recruitment, onboarding, leadership development, succession planning, engagement, retention, and training initiatives.
• Prepare and analyze workforce reports covering turnover, absenteeism, staffing, engagement, training, demographics, and compensation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, performance management, and recruiting.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information, with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and UKG Workforce Management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments.

Nice to have

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or another HR certification.
• Experience sourcing and recruiting skilled trades and production roles.
• Experience preparing and analyzing HR metrics reports.
• Experience championing safety culture and continuous improvement in manufacturing.
