Specialist, Employee Relations, BlueOval Battery Park Michigan (Automotive Manufacturing): Supporting employee relations and human resources operations for the launch of a battery manufacturing facility with an accent on investigations, employee concerns, policy administration, and data-driven process improvement. Focus on resolving complex workplace matters, coordinating cross-functional HR programs, and supporting rotating day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Location: On-site in Marshall, Michigan, United States. The role requires flexibility for day, night, weekend, holiday, and rotational shifts; training and initial launch include an 8–10-hour midnight shift with a possible transition to 12-hour shifts.

Salary: $86,600–$144,900 per year, salary grade 7.

What you will do

  • Advise on employee concerns, complaints, disputes, disciplinary matters, and other complex HR issues from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and mediations while administering workplace conduct, performance management, and related policies.
  • Support HR strategy, process design, employee relations programs, engagement surveys, and the battery manufacturing HR delivery model.
  • Use data and metrics to identify employee trends and improve policies, processes, training, and employee experiences.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, Total Rewards, HR Information Technology, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Monitor regulations, industry practices, and employee relations trends to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in HR processes, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, and workforce planning.
  • 4+ years of experience in employee coaching and counseling, engagement, development, organizational development, and workforce planning.
  • Experience with project management, cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, change management, and organizational design.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, influencing, and conflict-management skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating resources across multiple functions and guiding stakeholders at all levels.
