HR Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite role supporting a manufacturing facility with occasional overnight travel to other facilities.

Salary: $120,000–$152,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead strategic and operational HR activities for a large hourly, multi-shift manufacturing workforce.
• Advise operations leaders on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, develop, and retain site-level HR professionals, including HR Supervisors and HR Generalists.
• Conduct impartial workplace investigations and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up, and legal compliance.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, staffing agencies, Shared Services, safety, and leadership teams on hiring, onboarding, engagement, payroll, benefits, and employee wellbeing.
• Analyze turnover, absenteeism, staffing, engagement, and retention data to develop improvement plans and support organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, including 3 years in a managerial role within a multi-site, multi-shift manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, employee engagement, leadership coaching, performance management, and employment-law compliance.
• Advanced proficiency with UKG HRIS and workforce management tools; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis or visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support occasional overnight travel and work in an onsite manufacturing environment.

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
