Human Resources Generalist

Location: Paso Robles, California, with an additional location in San Luis Obispo, California. The role is office- and site-based and may require approximately 20% travel.

Salary: $69,500–$102,100 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary HR advisor for employees and managers, handling policies, employee relations, investigations, corrective action, discipline, and performance management support.
• Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, job and compensation changes, terminations, employment status updates, documentation, and HRIS records.
• Support time and attendance, leave administration, disability coordination, benefits questions, and related employee processes.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on staffing needs, job postings, interviews, background checks, candidate communications, and onboarding.
• Deliver performance, talent planning, compensation, engagement, development, compliance, and training programs for assigned sites and client groups.
• Analyze HRIS reports and provide site insights for workforce planning, talent reviews, compensation processes, and business initiatives.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in site-based, field, or operational HR.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong employee relations, issue resolution, communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information, work independently in a fast-paced matrixed environment, and support employees at all levels.
• HRIS experience required; Workday experience preferred.
• Ability to work in office- and site-based environments, including production areas, wineries, warehouses, and vineyards, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
