What you will do
- Develop and deliver the ’s group Corporate Affairs strategy across public affairs, corporate communications, internal communications, programme publicity and digital engagement.
- Lead communications strategy, corporate messaging, reputation management and crisis communications.
- Oversee legislative, regulatory and public policy strategy and engagement with governments, regulators and policymakers in the UK and internationally.
- Lead strategic engagement with staff, media, industry, political audiences and stakeholders using research and real-time insight.
- Anticipate reputational, political and regulatory risks and opportunities, advising senior leadership on response and positioning.
- Provide executive oversight of Children in Need and Media Action and contribute to Executive Committee priorities.
Requirements
- Recognised leadership experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, strategic communications and reputation management.
- Experience leading integrated engagement and communications strategies in complex, highly scrutinised environments.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, relationship-building, judgement and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of the media sector and the economic, political and technological factors shaping public service media.
- Proven experience leading large multidisciplinary teams, managing complex change and developing talent.
- Understanding of the UK political, regulatory and public policy landscape is desirable.
