Head of Government Relations (Robotics)

Location: London, United Kingdom; on-site. The role involves regular international travel and may include relocation to Washington, DC as United States operations grow. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Own the global government relations, public affairs, and policy strategy, with the UK as the primary market and the US as the fastest-growing second market.
• Establish a regulatory path for hirify.global robotics by working with governments, regulators, standards bodies, and industry associations.
• Develop policy positions and public-interest cases for hirify.global robotics, including applications in healthcare and industrial deployment.
• Develop routes to public and institutional capital, including government-backed investment and financing support.
• Build relationships across Westminster, Whitehall, Brussels, Washington, and North American industry associations.
• Build and lead the government relations function while remaining personally involved in research, drafting, and engagement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in government relations, government affairs, public affairs, or policy.
• Deep, current knowledge of the UK political environment and a sound understanding of US politics and EU institutions.
• Bachelor's degree in law, political science, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in technology, telecommunications, satellites, media, AI, software, automotive, aerospace and space, or defence.
• Ability to develop policy positions and strategy, conduct research and drafting personally, and manage others.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available. Regular travel is required, including to Germany, Brussels, Washington, Boston, and San Diego.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or PhD.
• Experience in Parliament, government, EU policy, or Brussels engagement.
• Experience establishing a government relations function in a scaling company.
• Experience with public funding, sovereign guarantees, government-backed financing, emerging-technology regulation, or standards-setting.
• Interest in emerging technologies and the future of robotics.
