Purchasing Agent (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mindelo, Porto, Portugal

What you will do

• Procure raw materials, packaging, and finished goods based on production plans and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory, analyze demand, and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Ensure timely material availability to support production requirements.
• Maintain accurate material, supplier, and pricing data in SAP.
• Support supplier negotiations, claims, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Planning, Sourcing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to improve procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or material planning.
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment, including inventory management, safety stock, and demand analysis.
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations and performance management, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.
