Procurement Sustainability Specialist

Location: Coimbra, Portugal; hybrid working model combining onsite and offsite work.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end sustainability topics for a commodity, entity, or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Identify and implement improvements to Source-to-Pay sustainability practices and tools.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective action plans and maintain alignment with hirify.global sustainability criteria.
• Integrate sustainability requirements into procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues on procurement practices and technical tools.

Requirements

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong understanding of sustainability principles, including carbon footprint, environmental compliance, and Scope 3 emissions, and their connection to procurement and supply chain operations.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement systems and ESG criteria and practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Experience improving processes, managing stakeholders, facilitating organizational change, and working independently.
• Fluent English required for negotiations and team meetings. Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with complex tools and data flows.
