Test Technician I - Field Services

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, USA. Field work requires regular driving and flying to client job sites, with local, regional, national, and infrequent international travel. Travel may reach 100%.

What you will do

• Perform visual weld, structural bolting, fireproofing, paint, anchor pull, load, hydrostatic pressure, and helium leak inspections.
• Inspect coatings using thickness, pull-off adhesion, and holiday testing methods.
• Set up and operate testing and inspection equipment.
• Follow ATS and client safety programs while working at customer sites.
• Interact professionally with clients and complete projects independently or alongside other technicians.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in relevant testing or inspection specialties.
• At least one of the following: AWS CW, ICC Structural Steel and Bolting S1 or S2, AMPP Level I/II, or NDT Level I/II.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, nationally, and occasionally internationally.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime and occasional weekends.
• Military experience is acceptable, and the ability to obtain additional certifications is required.
• U.S. Persons Only: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylum status is required for ITAR access.
