Test Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export authorizations.

What you will do

• Execute module, payload, antenna, and electronics test plans and report findings concisely and promptly.
• Work with engineers to troubleshoot complex electronics and RF circuitry from component to system level.
• Create, assemble, validate, and document test setups, instrumentation, cabling, fixtures, and harnesses.
• Organize and maintain antenna testing facilities and laboratory resources.
• Validate measurement solutions, including instruments, cabling, and devices under test.
• Support test station development, production testing, and product validation.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an Associate of Applied Science degree in electronics, computer science, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience and experience with active electronics.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, diagrams, mechanical assembly documentation, and test procedures.
• Experience soldering, building and reworking printed circuit boards and cabling, and working with automated test systems.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related laboratory instruments.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements. Strong organization, communication, troubleshooting, collaboration, and deadline-management skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience testing active phased arrays or AESAs.
• Experience with electronics in aerospace or a related industry.
• Technical proficiency with analog and digital electronic principles.
• Familiarity with Python and simple script modifications.
• Experience with test automation such as LabVIEW.
