TL;DR
Senior Subcontracts Administrator (FAR/ITAR): Managing major subcontracts covering contractual, financial, technical, and cost requirements with an accent on proposal evaluation, negotiation, compliance, and subcontractor performance. Focus on developing negotiation strategies, analyzing costs and prices, managing changes, and ensuring subcontractor adherence to prime contract and export control requirements.

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite role. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $86,131–$143,551 per year. An annual or quarterly bonus may apply, and alternative shifts may include a premium.

What you will do

  • Manage and administer major subcontracts covering terms and conditions, financial requirements, technical requirements, and cost-type contracts.
  • Act as the central contact for subcontractor correspondence, inquiries, issues, meetings, and action items.
  • Develop requests for proposals and support statements of work; evaluate subcontractor proposals for compliance and responsiveness.
  • Lead fact-finding and negotiation teams, develop negotiation strategies, and identify cost and scope reduction opportunities.
  • Negotiate contract terms, manage changes, and monitor subcontractor compliance with price, schedule, technical, and financial requirements.
  • Prepare subcontract documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations while monitoring FAR and ITAR updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 7–10 years of related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR and ITAR requirements and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Experience with cost/price analysis and price rationale documentation.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
