Construction Support Manager (Pipeline Construction)

Location: Pasadena, Texas; onsite. Approximately 50% outdoor project-site work and 50% office work, with regional site visits and travel of up to 35% as projects require. On-call support may be required.

What you will do

• Manage construction support activities for hazardous liquid terminals, truck loading terminals, storage facilities, and pipeline metering projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, construction managers, contractors, engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Schedule and oversee inspection personnel, audit inspection performance, and provide mentoring and technical direction.
• Create and implement Inspection Test Plans and project quality assurance programs, including vendor surveillance and quality reporting.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, safety, quality, documentation, forecasts, bid packages, execution plans, and closeout requirements.
• Provide technical oversight of construction, welding, coatings, repairs, and non-destructive examination activities at project sites.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction, management, design, and operation of facilities associated with hazardous liquid terminals, truck loading terminals, storage facilities, and pipelines.
• High school diploma or GED and experience working with multidisciplinary teams and contractors on complex projects.
• Ability to read construction plans, isometric drawings, and P&IDs; familiarity with PHMSA, NACE, ASME, and API requirements and standards.
• Experience with welding processes, welding inspection, and non-destructive examination.
• API and/or AWS certification required, along with a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• TWIC eligibility and clearance of required background and drug screening are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera scheduling software is also required.
