Construction Project Engineer

Location: Wheatfield, Indiana; on-site at least 5 days per week

Salary: $77,000 per year

What you will do

• Support on-site construction management and field execution for large, complex industrial infrastructure and power generation projects.
• Inspect construction sites and verify compliance with engineering plans, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Monitor contract performance, milestones, submittals, working drawings, and quality control procedures.
• Analyze job costs, budgets, progress billings, cash-flow projections, invoices, change orders, and claims.
• Maintain project schedules, prepare RFI and NCR responses, review material and equipment inventories, and manage project records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, owners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant field engineering or construction management experience.
• Experience with general contracting and large, complex industrial or power plant construction is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, design documents, and business reports.
• Strong problem-solving, mathematical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.
