Senior Expeditor (Procurement Planner)

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; frequent travel across Europe required

What you will do

• Monitor, coordinate, and expedite the delivery of project materials and equipment for major capital projects.
• Manage complex and high-value purchase orders from placement through manufacturing, inspection, documentation approval, release, and shipment readiness.
• Investigate delivery delays and supply chain risks, then develop recovery schedules, mitigation plans, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, EPC contractors, Procurement, Quality Management, Logistics, and Project Management teams.
• Conduct supplier, manufacturer, and EPC contractor visits to monitor fabrication, inspection, testing, shipping, and delivery readiness.
• Provide progress reports, visit findings, delivery forecasts, and schedule-risk updates to project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in expediting, procurement, supply chain management, materials management, project management, or EPC environments.
• Mandatory hirify.global project experience and knowledge of hirify.global standards and project execution requirements.
• Experience managing high-value purchase orders, vendor expediting, supplier performance, material tracking, logistics coordination, manufacturing progress, and recovery planning.
• Experience with large-scale industrial, energy, or capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, supplier engagement, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations management, or business administration.
• Experience in oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of procurement systems, material management tools, and project controls.
• CIPS, CSCP, or European Senior Logistician certification.
