Non-Commodity Procurement Category Manager - Services (EMEA)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; occasional travel within the EMEA region required.

What you will do

• Develop and continuously improve procurement category strategies for HR, facility management, general and professional services, and waste management across EMEA.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, including market analysis, supplier selection, RFx processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support collaboration, innovation, risk mitigation, and service quality.
• Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Sustainability, and Finance to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and supplier risks while supporting cross-regional standardization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of procurement experience, with a strong focus on indirect services categories at regional or multinational level.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of HR services, facility management, general and professional services, waste management, lab services, supplier markets, and Collective Labor Agreements.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, including experience with procurement technology such as e-sourcing, spend analytics, and contract management systems.
• Fluent English required; occasional travel within the EMEA region is expected.

Nice to have

• Professional procurement certification such as CIPS or an advanced degree such as an MBA or MSc.
• Experience in food ingredients, FMCG, or manufacturing, with knowledge of sustainability and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex procurement projects.
• Additional European languages.
