Account Executive - Commercial Lines (Property & Casualty Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Glastonbury or Norwalk, Connecticut, with frequent in-person client and underwriter meetings.

Salary: $105,000–$135,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage 20–30 large or complex Commercial Lines accounts as the primary day-to-day client contact.
• Market and place new and renewal Commercial Lines insurance programs.
• Prepare applications, identify suitable carriers, compare quotes and coverage, and recommend insurance programs.
• Manage renewal expirations, process policies, endorsements, and audits, and prevent coverage lapses.
• Negotiate with carriers and respond to underwriter questions on behalf of clients.
• Support Sales Executives, guide Account Representatives and Account Managers, delegate administrative tasks, and participate in account strategy meetings.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines insurance agency.
• Expert knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance.
• Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction.
• College degree preferred; ARM, CIC, or CPCU designation strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Sagitta or ImageRight.
• Experience with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• Current knowledge of insurance industry technology and trends.
