Risk Product Analyst

Location: Chicago, United States

Annual base salary: $175,000–$250,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quantitative Researchers across rates, FX, commodities, equities, and crypto asset classes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for issues affecting internal risk and valuation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents across applications, APIs, databases, messaging systems, and underlying infrastructure.
• Monitor and prioritize incidents based on their potential impact on trading, portfolio management, and P&L.
• Escalate unresolved issues to engineering, quantitative, or infrastructure teams with clear, reproducible diagnoses.
• Develop Python tools and scripts to automate diagnostics, investigate issues, analyze data, and improve workflows.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of financial products, including cash instruments, futures, swaps, and options, together with strong technical skills.
• Experience in trade support, trading technology, production support, or a related role in a production trading environment.
• Ability to write Python and SQL to investigate issues, automate diagnostics, and query and reconcile data across systems.
• Familiarity with production diagnostic tooling such as log aggregation, dashboards, monitoring, and alerting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and judgment skills when working with trading and technology stakeholders.
