VP, Quality (Fulfillment)

What you will do

• Build and lead the independent Quality and Inventory Control organization across a multi-site fulfillment network.
• Own inventory health, book-to-floor and floor-to-book accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation, adjustment governance, and variance reduction.
• Define and enforce quality controls across inbound, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, sorting, and outbound operations.
• Establish audit, reporting, root-cause, corrective-action, and continuous-improvement mechanisms to eliminate recurring defects.
• Own lot control, expiration-date accuracy, FIFO, FEFO, traceability, recalls, quarantine, and applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data while serving as the executive escalation point for quality and inventory risks.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in fulfillment quality, inventory control, operational excellence, distribution, or supply chain operations, including significant leadership experience.
• Experience leading quality or inventory control across a multi-site fulfillment or distribution network.
• Background in a scaled 3PL, retailer, e-commerce fulfillment network, food distribution company, or similarly complex physical operation.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, WMS-driven processes, cycle counting, reconciliation, lot control, and inventory accuracy.
• Experience with data-driven quality systems, audits, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and measurable defect reduction.
• Ability to operate at executive level while working directly on the warehouse floor and challenging Operations leadership when standards are not met.

Nice to have

• Experience in food, grocery, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated environment involving lot, expiration, traceability, or regulatory requirements.
