Maintenance Technician

Location: Ft. Smith, Arkansas, United States; onsite work with 12-hour shifts.

hirify.global manufactures plastic food containers and operates production facilities requiring mechanical and electrical maintenance support.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on compressors, forklifts, oilers, filters, and related systems.
• Repair and troubleshoot 480V three-phase electrical systems, PLCs, and instrumentation controls.
• Complete production start-ups, tooling changeovers, drum and shear tool setup, and form tooling maintenance.
• Perform drum stand, drum wheel, extrusion die, and lip installation or replacement.
• Use measuring devices, read blueprints, operate powered industrial trucks and lifts, and complete assigned quality-system duties.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience maintaining production machinery.
• Basic knowledge of extrusion, vacuum systems, material transfer, air systems, preventive maintenance, safety equipment, forklifts, and plumbing.
• Working knowledge of mechanical or electrical maintenance, safety practices, blueprints, and procedures.
• Semi-skilled capability in machining, electrical work, HVAC, welding, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts while standing on concrete, work in heat, climb steps periodically, and regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
