Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States. On-site role working primarily on second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., or third shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.; overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required.

Salary: $30.38+ per hour, including the applicable $2.00-per-hour second- or third-shift premium. Base starting pay is listed as $28.38 per hour and may vary by experience and education.

What you will do

• Maintain factory equipment, facility vehicles, and the overall production facility.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems.
• Repair or replace worn, broken, and damaged components, equipment, and parts.
• Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, tow motors, tractors, and other facility vehicles safely.
• Review work orders, prioritize tasks, report repair status, and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
• Support workplace safety, shop cleanliness, heavy-part handling, and training for new employees.

Requirements

• Previous industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read safety manuals, blueprints, and work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and recognize abnormal operating conditions.
• Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds and perform standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and confined-space work.
• Ability to work assigned hours, maintain reliable attendance, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work safely outdoors in snow, rain, heat, and cold when required.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in electromechanical technology.
• Three years of semi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Previous maintenance experience at Pierce Manufacturing.
• Forklift certification.
• Knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, or technical equipment.
