Senior CNC Machinist II (Aerospace)

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio, United States. Onsite weekend 2nd shift, Friday–Sunday. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment independently.
• Develop and optimize machining fixtures for complex aerospace components.
• Select tooling, support machining quotes, and maintain setup sheets, production records, and technical documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to machining processes, efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and identify and mitigate EH&S hazards.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining and production issues while following EHS, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience independently setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T requirements and perform dimensional inspections.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, measurement tools, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.
• Ability to work safely onsite in a manufacturing facility, including PPE use, extended standing and walking, and lifting up to 45 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with 5-axis, 4-axis, and 3-axis machining centers, CNC lathes, and mill-turn equipment.
• Experience with DMG MORI, Makino, Haas, Mazak, or DN Solutions/Doosan equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated quality systems.
• Experience machining heat-resistant nickel-based superalloys, complex aerospace components, or metal 3D-printed parts.
• Experience supporting process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
