Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Improve manufacturing systems and processes to solve problems and increase operational effectiveness.
• Analyze production and operational issues using prior experience and structured problem-solving methods.
• Recommend enhancements to systems, processes, and operational practices.
• Support projects and processes across the manufacturing job area under general supervision.
• Communicate operational processes and procedures with internal and external contacts.
• Help achieve operational targets for assigned programs and projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Willingness to work the stated 4/10 schedule: four 10-hour workdays per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with soldering or basic electronic manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
• Experience with Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software.
