What you will do

• Create new mechanical designs and modify existing designs using SolidWorks.
• Develop SolidWorks assemblies, models, and drawing packages from concept sketches.
• Compare existing geometry to verify form, fit, and function of revised designs.
• Design and develop test fixtures and execute product testing plans.
• Collect and analyze test data to verify new product designs.
• Build prototypes of usability concepts for evaluation and testing.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
• Must have completed at least two years of a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent academic standing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks is required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and skill.

Nice to have

• Certified SolidWorks Associate certification.
• Experience building parts and assemblies using rapid prototyping or 3D printers.
• Experience with testing, test equipment, and data collection.
