Senior Technical Writer (AV)

What you will do

• Create, edit, publish, and maintain client-facing technical documentation aligned with product release schedules.
• Interview subject matter experts and analyze CAD models, BOMs, UI wireframes, and engineering materials to define documentation plans.
• Evaluate hardware and software prototypes and updated builds to document product functionality and user workflows accurately.
• Manage documentation projects independently, create work plans, and track project status using project management software.
• Represent Technical Publications in product development and ECO meetings and advise teams on information design.
• Collaborate with writers on editorial, peer, creative, and publishing reviews while following current technical communication practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical writing experience, including procedural and reference content for specific audiences.
• Ability to deliver highly accurate, publication-ready drafts with minimal editorial correction.
• Expert information-gathering skills, including interviewing subject matter experts and synthesizing complex engineering data.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative and Technical Communication Suites, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and CAD rendering software such as SolidWorks Composer.
• Experience with SharePoint, Git, and GitHub for content management and version control.

• Familiarity with professional networked audiovisual hardware, technologies, and software systems.
