Operations Manager (Distribution Center)

Location: Robards, Kentucky, United States of America; onsite, second shift

hirify.global develops and sells outdoor apparel, footwear, and equipment through a large-scale distribution operation.

What you will do

• Manage assigned production departments, supervisors, and staff, including scheduling, workflow monitoring, labor allocation, and production goal setting.
• Train employees on work methods, policies, procedures, and safe operating practices while monitoring performance, efficiency, department KPIs, and labor utilization.
• Coordinate with technical support, human resources, Account Operations, Control Room, Traffic, and other departments to maintain smooth product and information flow.
• Resolve material, product, staffing, equipment, and operational issues across the distribution center.
• Lead cross-training, employee development, backup coverage, coaching, performance feedback, and employee-relations activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement, Lean, and 5-S initiatives to improve operations and achieve cost-per-unit targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in materials management and distribution.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, labor management systems, sortation systems, and warehouse operations.
• Above-average ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, training, development, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate others, work independently, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice to have

• One to three years of supervisory experience.
