Operations Manager (Industrial Distribution)

Location: Latham, New York, United States. On-site work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating Saturday mornings during the summer season. The role may be eligible for relocation or cost-of-living adjustments.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annual compensation, plus annual bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Direct and coordinate procurement, warehouse, and product distribution activities.
• Hire, train, supervise, and manage warehouse staff, including associates and drivers.
• Review sales orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, transfers, and inventory levels.
• Manage stock control, cycle counts, freight expenses, invoices, and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Ensure warehouse safety, order routing, loading, preparation, and delivery according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with buyers, vendors, quality personnel, and sales staff to resolve product issues and support sales objectives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of operations experience in an industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience managing operations for a $5–10 million wholesale warehouse facility.
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work on-site in Latham, New York.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, auto parts, irrigation supplies, or similar industrial products.
