Head of Content Strategy - Senior Vice President / Managing Director (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office work Monday–Thursday and remote work on Friday.

Salary: $215,000–$300,000 base salary per year, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and lead a multi-year global content strategy and scalable messaging architecture.
• Build, lead, and mentor a content organization while managing agencies, external partners, workflows, governance, and resourcing.
• Translate complex financial and business concepts across private markets, structured investments, ETFs, annuities, life insurance, and platform capabilities.
• Develop and oversee thought leadership, executive perspectives, research, presentations, newsletters, podcasts, video, digital content, and emerging-channel content.
• Establish editorial standards, publication processes, calendars, tone-of-voice guidelines, and audience-specific messaging.
• Partner with executives, investment professionals, marketing, brand, digital, social, PR, events, compliance, and international teams to expand content distribution and market presence.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading content strategy, editorial, thought leadership, or content marketing in financial services, investment management, wealth management, fintech, or a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree in finance, economics, journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience developing enterprise-wide content strategies across multiple audiences, channels, formats, and global markets with measurable business outcomes.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and experience working with portfolio managers, research analysts, strategists, economists, and other investment professionals.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and multimedia content development skills, with the ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner.
• Experience building teams, establishing governance frameworks, managing complex projects, advising senior executives, and using analytics, SEO, AEO, and content optimization.
